MY BROTHER: I think when Mom said party/family reunion, she was referring to Grandma’s funeral. We all decided not to wait and bury her anyway…it’s much more convenient for everyone when it’s scheduled, don’t you think? Those sudden deaths always fuck with work and vacation and all that. Plus you don’t have to worry about finding a plane ticket last minute.
